The first Standard Catalog of World Paper Money was produced in 1975. This catalog provided collectors like me, with listings and valuations of all known and recorded government note issues. Finally, the World Currency Collector had a guide on which to establish fair market value. This comprehensive catalog has created a collection frenzy.

What is a PICK number,

Similar to Friedberg Numbers (for information about Friedberg Numbers, please refer to my previous blog post) identified and used for United States (US) Currency, Pick Numbers refer to a referencing and numbering system for International Currency items. 
This PICK referencing and cataloging system is based on methods developed by Albert Pick and described in Standard Catalog of World Paper Money edited by George Cuhaj.

Similar to Friedberg numbers identified and used for United States Currency, Pick numbers refer to a referencing and numbering system for International Currency items.
